It's Harbor Freight, I think most already know what they are and what they sell, budget tools and supplies. It's pretty much hit and miss, some stuff is total junk and some stuff is a good bang for your buck. I have a 2-stroke generator and pressure washer that were very inexpensive relatively speaking and both are still chugging along a couple years later.
Grate please for do it DIY ers tools are inexpensive and will get the job done just a good place for the average joe
If you value your time you might not want to shop here! I've gone to this store twice since coming to Phoenix and I have had the same experience both times. The breakdown always starts at the register. For some reason it takes every employee in the store conducting a committee meeting to help a customer with anything outside of a standard purchase like...a return. The normal practice of scanning barcodes and pushing buttons doesn't seem to get them through a return, they actually have to be knowledgeable! Since they don't seem know about the products or processes in their store they have to gather all fellow employees and get a consensus on what to do! Then when that breaks down, and it most certainly will, they then try and get the manager "on the horn" who finally shows up and starts a training session with the bewildered register clerks all while you're waiting with your cheap Chinese junk that they should have been overjoyed that you even showed up to buy!This is how business is conducted on the "low road!" Subtleties like customer service and knowledgeable employees doesn't exist and you can be sure they are are quite unapologetic or unmoved by your suffering at their hand! They found it quite odd that I took issue with their little consensus cabal that tied up every employee (about four) in the store so that none are free to check out customers at other registers! How dare you scrutinize their little import tool bazaar masquerading as a proper American business! I recommend that you avoid Harbor Freight altogether, and take your business elsewhere. A little extra cost at Sears or Home Depot is worth not having to get a "Harbor Freight headache!"
Decent pricing for all sorts of tools. Some things you come across makes you wonder when they would ever come in handy, lol. Its almost like shopping at a dollar store: you find random treasures but the quality of their items are 100% better.
This place has a lot of stuff cheap. They don't carry the same brand of padlocks and other things but if you can do with a knock off you can get a really good buy. It should be called China Freight. I try to purchase at another store if possible because the odor in this store is so very strong of rubber and who knows what. If you have allergies don't go in.
